Position Title: Operations Utility Technician
Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with occasional overtime)
Starting Pay Range: $25.92-$34.56 per hour, commensurate with experience

Position Summary
The Operations Utility Technician is an entry-level role responsible for supporting a wide range of essential utility operations. This position involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple trades and utility systems. The successful candidate will be safety-focused, eager to learn new skills, and able to contribute effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and operational tasks on hydroelectric dams, water systems, and sewer systems.
Assist with property management duties as needed.
Conduct meter reading and installation of customer meters.
Safely operate tools, equipment, and vehicles required for daily tasks.
Follow all safety policies and procedures to protect self, team members, and the public.
Collaborate effectively with co-workers to complete assignments on time.
Perform physical labor including lifting, carrying, and sustained outdoor activity in varied weather conditions.
Qualifications
Vermont State Class 3 Water Operator Certification, or ability to obtain through company-sponsored training.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Interest or background in the trades is preferred.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform consistent physical activity.
Willingness and ability to quickly learn new skills across multiple utility disciplines.
Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices.
Enjoyment of outdoor work in all weather conditions.
Strong teamwork, communication skills and computer technology literacy.
Valid driver’s license required.
